The purpose of the Project is to reduce the consumption of traditional energy, increase the use of renewable energy sources and install energy efficient measures at the Bethesda Hospital, with the overall objective of protecting the environment through reduction of CO2 emissions. Reference is made to the application dated 13 May 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Purchase and installation of gas engine system, sun collector system and heat pump system; 2. Development and reconstruction of heating and cooling system (air-conditioning) and domestic hot water system; 3. Establishment of energy optimization system for building engineering and thermoinsulation of building (replacement of doors and windows); 4. Project management and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Bethesda Hospital Foundation. The Focal Point shall ensure that theProject Promoter provides at least 10 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
