Modernization of heating system of public institutions operated by the Municipality of Újszilvás with the use of geothermal energy

The purpose of the Project is to install a geothermal energy heating system in four public institutions in the municipality of Újszilvás, with the overall objective of reducing CO2 emissions, thus contributing to environmental protection. Reference is made to the application dated 9 May 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Demolition works and earthworks, including construction of new productive well, a new absorbing well, and including delivery pipelines from the wells to the Mayor's Office, Community House, kindergarten and school; 2. Purchase and installation of the heating system in the Mayor's Office of the Municipality of Újszilvás; 3. Purchase and installation of the heating system in the Community House (Parish Hall); 4. Purchase and installation of the heating system in the Day-care kindergarten of Újszilvás; 5. Purchase and installation of the heating system in the General School of Újszilvás; 6. Project management and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Municipality of Újszilvás. The Focal Point shall ensure that the applicant provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
