Establishment of Gyömro Community Learning Portal

The purpose of the Project is to establish a community e-learning portal for the population of the Municipality of Gyömro and surrounding area assuring equal access to free e-learning; with the overall objective of promoting life-long learning. Reference is made to the application dated 20 December 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1) Developing and establishing the Community Learning Portal (including purchase of hardware and software; as well as purchase and development of educational materials) - Purchase of educational materials: Basic PC knowledge; Windows user-level knowledge; MS Word user-level knowledge; MS Excel user-level knowledge; Basic internet user-level knowledge; Basic user-level knowledge of law databases; English introductory courses; German introductory courses; SWOT Analysis; Communication; Management Skills; Stress-Management; Labour Safety Issues; - Development of educational materials: Project Management of General and Municipal Projects; Formal correspondence in English and Hungarian; Management of municipal customers, negotiation technique; Operation of the social system, providing and receiving services and subsidies – learning package; Learning-methodological development tasks in IT environment; 2) Building alterations to 3 school buildings in Gyömro to provide barrier-free access (a. Weöres Sándor Primary and Arts School, 2230 Gyömro, Szabadság square 2/b, p.#: 13; b. Fekete István Primary and Vocational School, 2230 Gyömro, Kossuth Ferenc street 5-7, p.#: 1159; c. II. Rákóczi Ferenc Primary School, 2230 Gyömro, Bajcsy Zsilinszky Endre road 79-81, p.#: 431.); 3) E-learning courses offered through the Community Learning Portal (including user training); 4) Project management (including publicity). The Project Promoter is the Municipality of Gyömro (Gyömro Város Önkormányzatának Polgármesteri Hivatala). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15.05 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
