Health Olympics of Óbuda for the Prevention of Illness and for the Promotion of Health

The purpose of the Project is strengthening health consciousness of participants of the Óbuda Health Olympics, and prevention of heart and vascular diseases due to obesity and high blood pressure, with the overall objective of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants in Óbuda's 3rd district. Reference is made to the application dated 17 December 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Project management - Setting up the Project team and Project office, including public procurement. - Elaboration of professional methodology's (scientific guides, intellectual pools, elaboration of the rules of competition) - Project publicity (TV, radio, image, etc.) - Health counselling - Organisation of events (screening days, children’s camp, test Olympics, Olympics, closing event), finding sponsors - IT development (homepage, records system) - Dissemination of results. The Project Promoter is the Óbuda-Békásmegyer Health Servicing Public Benefit Organisation. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
