Adult Education Title: The Learning Partnership Initiative

The purpose of the Project is to establish 9 training centres and provide training in a range of adult education projects aimed toward job creation, with the overall objective of increased employment and economic development for 9 communities in Hungary. Reference is made to the application dated 17 January, 2008 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - establishment of open learning centres/ units in 9 regions in Hungary; - Setting up of Local Learning Partnerships in the 9 regions and running of the 9 Learning Centres; - Provision of central professional support for Local Learning initiatives via: training, mentoring, and consultations; - Conceptualisation of the "Learning Partnerships Model" and Project Publicity; and - Project Management and related services. The Project Promoter is the Hungarian Association for Life-Long Learning (Szovetség az Életen Át Tartó Tanulásért). Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with VOX, Norway, and 9 Hungarian partners: Rozszly Joleti Alapitvany (Social Welfare Foundation of Rozszly); Round World Social Welfare Foundation; Ori Alapitvany (Social Welfare Foundation Ori); Elso Magyar-Dan Termelolskola Alapitvany (Elso Magyar-Dan Termelolskola Social Welfare Foundation); KALLFO Social Welfare Foundation; Local Social Welfare Foundation Beszterec; Foundation of Social Welfare at Derecske; Social Welfare Foundation for the Community of Kazsmark; and Modus Foundation. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 10.59 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
