The purpose of the Project is to conduct research in robot technology and further develop the centre of excellence and innovation on highly intelligent and flexible robotics for the use in the health sector and industrial working environments, with the overall objective of supporting a sustainable economic development in Hungary. Reference is made to the application dated 28 November 2007 and all subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The Project will include the following activities and results; - three research activities; non-conventional interaction through virtual world, intelligent assisted teleoperation system and superflexible robot systems; - establishing the infrastructure for five bilateral laboratories based on the cyberlab network; - carrying out of two complex demonstrations; - dissemination of the research results as described in the publicity plan and; - Project management and other publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the MTA Számítástechnikai és Automatizálási Kutató Intézet (Computer and Automation Research Institute of Hungarian Academy of Sciences). Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Széchenyi István University, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Norwegian company Productive Programming Methods AS (PPM AS), the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Narvik University College. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter and its partners as well as Eötvös University provide at least 40 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
