Ibsen Palace - Artistic, Educational and Cultural Centre

The purpose of the Project is the establishment of the Ibsen Palace as an artistic, educational and cultural centre by the renovation of the monumental building of historical significance, with the overall objective of preservation of the historical cultural heritage in Békés County. Reference is made to the application, dated 30 March, 2006 and the subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point dated 22 March, 26 June, 18 October and 15 November 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - renovation of the historical building of the Ibsen Palace, establishment of public utilities and garden; - establish premises serving new functionalities – performance hall of the theatre, puppet theatre with the related service premises, training rooms, civil information point; - purchase of the stage technologies and accessories; - purchase of furniture and equipment for training rooms, information point, art cafe and restaurant; - publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Local Government of Békés county. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
