The purpose of the Project is to develop and validate a non-invasive diagnostic screening test based on an expert system for the early detection and evaluation of central nervous system (CNS) diseases, with the overall objective of supporting the Greek strategy for an improvement of health and disease prevention in relation to CNS diseases. Reference is made to the application dated 9 May 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - preparative actions and the precise determination of the project details, including the purchase of equipment and software; - preparative research stage (select patients that will undergo the proposed examination); - record-taking of various project elements (research, data collection, reports and studies); - purchase of expendable supplies for the computers and peripheral; - examination of patients and a control group of healthy persons; and - management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Hellenic Government provides at least 50 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
