The purpose of the Project is to perform research activities related to the validation of molecular techniques for the detection of gene mutations in children indicative for tooth agenesis and colorectal cancer, with the overall objective of supporting the Greek strategy for an improvement of health and disease prevention during childhood in relation to tooth agenesis and colorectal cancer. Reference is made to the application dated 8 May 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Sample collection; 2. Laboratory research; 3. Dissemination of results through seminars, manual and website and 4. Project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the National and Capodistrian University of Athens. The Focal Point shall ensure that the the Government of the Hellenic Republic shall provide at least 50 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
