Reconstruction and Presentation of the ancient Agora of Kos and of the medieval fortifications of the town of Kos

The purpose of the Project is restoration and preservation of the monuments of the Agora, with the overall objective of presentation of the cultural heritage of Kos. Reference is made to the application dated 1 December 2008 and all subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Tender activities; - Excavation and construction works; - Restoration and conservation works; - Systems installed; - Management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Ministry of Culture. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Greek Government provides at least 51.4 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
