The purpose of the Project is to establish a mire inventory, obtain data and make recommendations concerning the protection and use of the inventorised mires, with the overall objective of a favourable conservation status of all habitat types within the Estonian mires achieved. Reference is made to the application dated 30 August 2006 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Preparation for field work and seminars, management and publicity; - Field work; - Data computerization; - Analysis of results, working out recommendations, preparation and publication of inventory book; and - International conference. The Project Promoter is Eestimaa Looduse Fond (Estonian Fund for Nature). Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Riiklik Looduskaitsekeskus (the State Nature Conservation Centre). The Focal Point shall ensure that Project Promoter provides at least 7.82 percent of the estimated Project costs and that Riiklik Looduskaitsekeskus (the State Nature Conservation Centre) provies at least 2.95 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
