The purpose of the Project is to restore the Vasta manor complex in Viru-Nigula and develop a viable rural primary school that offers quality educational services, and which also functions as an active community centre, with the overall objective of protection of European cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application, dated 8 June 2007 and subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point dated 22 August, 17 October and 5 November 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Public procurement for the renovation works; - Renovation works in the main manor house, in the auxiliary building and landscaping (replacing the terrace of the main manor house, works on the facade of the main manor house, works on the interior rooms of the building´s east wing; renovation of the auxiliary building - replacing of the roof, doors and windows, works on the interior; renovation of the manor park); - Project management and publicity; - Construction supervision; - Heritage conservation inspection. The Project Promoter is Viru-Nigula Municipality. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15,3 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost. Vardar Eurus AS (a wind energy company) shall provide 0.53 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
