Implementation of environmentally responsible forest management

The purpose of the Project is to increase the area of environmentally responsibly managed forest in compliance with the Czech Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standard with the overall objective to improve the protection of forest ecosystem biodiversity in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application dated 15 February 2008 and all subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Implementation and monitoring of the FSC requirements in KRNAP forest; 2. Purchase of Field-Map set; 3. Promotion and communication of FSC certification including awareness and consumer campaign and education of Krkonose National Park (KRNAP) visitors; 4. Publicity and management. The Project Promoter is the FSC CR, o.s (Forest Stewardship Council Czech Republic). Subject to national law the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the Czech partner Krkonose National Park and WWF Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Czech Ministry of Environment provides at least 15.3 percent of the total eligible Project cost.
