Improving the fight against criminal structures

The purpose of the project is to strengthen the technological base and knowledge of the members of the Criminal Structures Department of the Organised Crime Detection Unit (OCDU) of the Service of Criminal Police and Investigation, with the overall objective of contributing to increased internal security and reducing organised criminal activities within the Czech Republic and their permeation into neighbouring states. Reference is made to the application, dated 14 September 2007, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - tendering and purchasing of equipment; - implementation of five training seminars; - study trips and exchange to Norway; - graphic production and printing of the 'Police Officer in a Multicultural Environment' manual; and - project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Criminal Structures Department of the Organized Crime Detection Unit of the Service of Criminal Police and Investigation of the Police of the Czech Republic. Subject to national law the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the National Police Directorate, Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
