Preservation of silver fir genetic resources on the territory of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park

The purpose of the Project is to regenerate and protect the silver fir forest in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, with the overall objective of preserving the biological diversity and the silver fir forest's genetic resources. Reference is made to the application dated 10 September 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Growing of silver fir in plant nursery; 2. Transporting of plants and forest operations a) transportation of silver firs on site b) protection of plants through fencing and use of repellents c) thinning of spruce; 3. Project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is Správa Národního parku Ceské Švýcarsko (Bohemian Switzerland National Park). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
