The purpose of the Project is to improve the storage conditions of the museum collections belonging to the Museum of Regional History and Geography and increasing its capacity, with the overall objective of preserving a Baroque cultural monument and increasing interest in the cultural heritage of the Olomouc region. Reference is made to the application, dated 24 February 2006, and to email correspondence with the Focal Point dated 25 July 2006, 27 July 2006, 09 October 2006, and 06 February 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: • reconstruction of the interior, including lift shafts, electro-installations, installation of storage equipment, as well as the creation of two new exhibition rooms, etc.; • reconstruction of the attic; • restoration of the exterior, including reparation works to the façade, and replacement of windows and doors; and • creation of new spaces for research and study activities within the building. The Project Promoter is the Olomouc Region. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter shall provide at least 29.55 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
