Modernization of Karlovy Vary Airport – Stage III,Part 1

The purpose of the Project is to ensure the separation of Schengen and non-Schengen passenger flows airside (including separation of arriving and departing passengers) at the regional airport of Karlovy Vary, with the objective of meeting the requirements of the 'category II' Schengen acquis. Reference is made to the application dated 21 February 2006, as well as to additional information from the Focal Point dated 23 June 2006 and 27 September 2006. For this Project, the Region of Karlovy Vary is the Project Promoter. The Project will be implemented in partnership with Letište Karlovy Vary s.r.o. The Project will consist of construction works to the interior of the existing terminal building of Karlovy Vary Airport, as well as the purchase of equipment, including a belt conveyor for luggage. The Project Promoter shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
