The project object is a restoration of a unique baroque organ. The history of this cultural monument dates back to 1788. Because there has already been considerable damage, the organ is now in a state of disrepair and can only be used to a limited extent. The restoration is necessary, as declared in the restoration scheme and opinions. The restoration can give back the original authenticity to the historic monument, as well as the original appearance and full functionality. The organ is located in the clerestory of the early Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from 1642, which is an immovable cultural monument and a significant dominant feature of the square in Bučovice. Another part of the project is a reparation of the roof of this church. Its current condition is alarming as the roofing and plumbing elements are outworn. Therefore, the reparation is necessary to prevent irreversible damage.

In addition to construction and restoration works, the intention is to make the restored monuments more accessible to the public, by introducing visitor hours and present in an innovative way a virtual tour located on the parish website. In cooperation with a Czech partner, we will create a permanent exhibition on the topic of persecution of the Catholic Church in the time of totalism in the Czech Republic, followed by moving exhibitions and lectures on the topic. In cooperation with another Czech partner, we will organize a professional organ course and a concert, as well as participate in a nationwide event called Night of Churches, in cooperation with a partner from Norway.

The realisation of the project will promote life in the region and expand the range of cultural and educational events.

Summary of bilateral results
