"SOFIA ARSENAL" MUSEUM FOR CONTEMPORARY ART - SAMCA

The purpose of the Project is to establish the Museum of Contemporary Arts, with the overall objective of conservation of European cultural heritage and promotion of contemporary culture and educational research activities in the field of contemporary arts. Reference is made to the application dated 24 April 2008, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - design and engineering; preparatory works (bills of quantities, etc); - preparation of the construction site located in the Sofia Arsenal complex; and dismantling works; - reconstruction works; - external engineering connections; - purchase and installation of furniture and equipment; - project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the National Museum of Bulgarian Visual Arts. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Bulgarian state budget shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
