Repair of shingle roofing on folk architecture buildings in the Museum of the Slovak Village

The purpose of the Project is the replacement of the shingle roofing of selected buildings in the Museum of the Slovak Village in Martin, with the overall objective of preserving the folk architecture as an important element of the European cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application dated 20 March 2006, and to correspondence with the Focal Point dated 20 February 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - procurement of carpenters to carry out the works; and - replacement of the shingle roofs of 23 buildings located within the museum area, including the removal of the current roofing. The Project Promoter is Slovenské národné múzeum. The Focal Point shall ensure that the State budget of the Slovak Republic will provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
