The purpose of the Project is to restore and renovate the exterior and interior of a water mill in Velké Teriakovce and create a local heritage museum in its premises, with the overall objective of preserving the Gemer-Malohont region's cultural heritage and developing its economic potential. Reference is made to the application dated 22 March 2006, and to correspondence with the Focal Point dated 21 February 2007, 23 May 2007 and 25 May 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - restoration of the mill and its machinery, including masonry works, replacement of windows, ground works, etc.; - renovation activities to allow for the changed utilisation of the building to include a museum, interactive exhibition and educational spaces; - equipping of a new presentation centre with exhibition panels, furniture, and office equipment; - collection of relevant historical objects/ethnographic research; - Project management; and - publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Civic Association OZVENY (ECHOES). The Focal Point shall ensure that the State budget of the Slovak Republic will provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
