"Complex of open sports and recreation zones in Zlotoryja along with the performance of sports activities"

The purpose of the Project is to construct an open multipurpose sports field and three recreation zones in the Municipal District of Zlotoryja accompanied by organisation of sports activities for children and youth, with the overall objective of improving physical health and quality of life for the children and youth. Reference is made to the application dated 12 April 2007, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Construction of a multipurpose sports field (including three sport fields, a handball pitch, a basketball pitch, volleyball court, running track, long jump pit and necessary infrastructure) situated at Primary School no.3 and Junior High School no.2 in ul. Szczesliwa ; 2. Construction of recreation areas for children at the two municipal kindergartens and one preschool (3 playgrounds and general area development), situated in ul. Gornicza, ul. Staszica and ul. Letnia; 3. Purchase of sport equipment; 4. Implementation of sports activities and organising sport classes; 5. Project management, audit and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Zlotoryja Municipal District. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Rygge kommune in Østfold, Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
