The purpose of the Project is to develop a system for computerised document processing within the Organised Crime Bureau and other selected organisational units involved in fighting organised crime, with the overall objective of improving the efficiency of law enforcement by streamlining the work of the judiciary. Reference is made to the application dated 29 August 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - development of detailed specifications and tender documentation; - procurement of scanners, standard software and servers; - procurement of an archiving and document handling system; - deployment to 20 selected offices; - provision of training and support for start-up. The Project Promoter is the Ministry of Justice. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with General Prosecutor's Office. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
