The improvement of state of the health of the local society in The Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki District

The purpose of the Project is to improve the early detection of circulatory system disorders, malignant neoplasms and respiratory diseases; with the overall objective of improving the state of health and quality of life of the local population in the Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki District. Reference is made to the application dated 3 August 2006 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1) Tender procedures; 2) Rebuilding and extension of part of two hospital buildings (buildings D and F) of the Zespól Zakladów Opieki Zdrowotnej w Czarnkowie (ZZOZ); 3) Purchase of medical equipment (mammograph; stationary x-ray machine and a x-ray image intensifier (C-arm); spirometer); 4) 3 screening campaigns: a) Nutrition programme b) Early detection of malignant neoplasm programme c) Decrease of smoking programme; 5) Project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Zespól Zakladów Opieki Zdrowotnej w Czarnkowie (ZZOZ) (the Health Care Institution in Czarnkow). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki District provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
