The purpose of the Project is to increase the energy efficiency of the Voivodeship Rehabilitative Hospital for Children in Ameryka by improving its thermal insulation properties, with the overall objective of protecting the environment through reducing the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere. Reference is made to the application, dated 18 December 2006, and further correspondence with the Focal Point dated 20 April and 18 May 2007. The completed Project shall include the following thermo-modernisation works: • replacement of windows and doors (main building); • insulation of the facade walls; • modernisation of the central heating installations; • modernisation of the gas boiler; • installation of a hot water pumping sub-station (with a capacity of 0. 4 MW) and automatic control for the hot running water; • modernisation of the ventilation system (including heating and cooling fittings, heat pump, and computerised automatic control system); and • necessary electric installations related to the planned works. The Project Promoter is the Voivodeship Rehabilitative Hospital for Children in Ameryka, close to Olsztynek. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
