Research on digitalisation and 3D reconstruction of European cultural heritage

The purpose of the Project is to acquire new knowledge on the methodology for digitisation and 3D reconstruction of objects, with the overall objective of improving the quality of capturing 3D objects, specifically within the area of cultural heritage. Reference is made to the application, dated 22 June 2006, and to correspondence with the Focal Point dated 09 February 2007. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - implementation of innovative methods of 3D digitisation; - implementation of innovative methods of data analysis; - implementation of innovative methods of copying; - research and tests of the entire methodology; - project management; and - publicity activities. The Project Promoter is the Warsaw University of Technology. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
