Modern Internal Dieseases and Cardiology Ward in the Independent Public Specialistic Institution of Healthcare in Lebork - Quality, Knowledge, Education

The purpose of the Project is to increase the effectiveness and speed of medical diagnostic procedures, improve staff facilities, and improve the working conditions of staff, with the overall objective of improvement in quality of and access to medical services in the Lebork District. Reference is made to the application, dated 15 May 2006, and correspondence from the Focal Point sent on 28 July 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - refurbishment of the hospital building and rooms to improve the current hygiene and safety standards; - supporting the Internal Diseases and Cardiology Ward with new and modern diagnostic and treatment equipment; - conducting training courses for staff members to improve their professional skills and knowledge; - prevention activities in the community to reduce prevalence of heart diseases within the local population and risk groups, and promotional activities informing about results of the project and source of support. The Project Promoter is the Public Specialist Hospital in Lebork. The the Public Specialist Hospital in Lebork shall provide at least 20 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
