The Conservation and Adaptation of the Complex of the Molavenai Fort-hills for Cultural and Public Tourism Needs

The purpose of the Project is to preserve the Fort-hills and develop infrastructure for tourist purposes and public use, with the overall objective of ensuring that Molavenai Fort-hills functions as a well-preserved archaeological site, securing its cultural and socio-economic value. Reference is made to the application dated 2 August 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Construction works (reinforcement of slopes, construction of drainage system, power supply and illumination system, infrastructure for visitor’s facilities); - Preparing detailed technical design plan and research report; - Contracting insurance services and obtaining necessary permits; - Public procurement; - Project management and publicity; - Project audit. The Project Promoter is The Administration of the Raseiniai District Municipality. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Lthuanian Government provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible Project costs.
