A-HA! Nationwide Sex and Mental Hygiene Education Programme

The purpose of the Project is to further develop the A-HA! Nationwide Sex and Mental Hygiene Education Program, with the overall objective of reducing the number of abortions as well as the proportions of teenagers diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease in the under 18 age group in Hungary. Reference is made to the application dated 29 December 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed project shall include the following activities and results: - Project management, - Design and construction of supporting educational packages (including student packs, instructor's bag, instruction DVDs for schools), - Educational and information disclosure activities (including lecture seminars in schools and training, development of an internet based distant learning system and internet based anonymous advisor service, creating and educational animation film series), - Publicity activities (including participation in nationwide events and campaigns, nationwide social advertisement campaign on TV channels, participating at national and international professional conferences), and - Dissemination of results. The Project Promoter is the Hungarian Preventive Scientific Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 10 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
