Systematic prevention of drug use in adolescents through brief intervention of paediatricians

The purpose of this Project is capacity building and improved work with substance abuse problems, with the overall objective of reducing substance abuse problems in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application dated 12 November 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Collection of materials which will be used for the substance abuse program and for the training of regional paediatricians; - Training of paediatricians for conducting screening and intervention studies; - Execution of intervention study; - Development of intervention methodology based on intervention results; - Dissemination of project results among paediatricians at the national level; - Management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Psychiatric Centre Prague (PCP). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
