Interior repairs and restoration of Olomouc cathedral (reg. no. 109/2. V)

The purpose of the Project is to refurbish the interior of the Olomouc cathedral and to restore frescoes, furniture and church treasuries, with the overall objective of conserving cultural heritage in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application, dated 14 November 2007, and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - interior repairs; - modernization of electric wiring; - installation of illumination-, security- and air-condition systems; - purchase and installation of equipment; - restoration of local interior objects and exhibits; and - management and publicity including tender procedure. The Project Promoter is the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Wenceslas in Olomouc. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the 'Metropolitan Chapter of St. Wenceslas in Olomouc'. The Focal Point shall ensure that the 'Olomouc Region' provides at least 15.75 percent of the estimated eligible project costs.
