The purpose of the Project is to provide a new source of biofuel and new solutions to the clean-up of contaminated soil in the Pribramsko region, with the overall objective of protecting the environment in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application dating 10 September 2007, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - purchase of equipment and material; - preliminary project research (including monitoring of ecological stress, selection of plant material); - core project research (including testing of compatibility of host plants, maintenance of model plantations); - evaluation of project research outputs (including compilation of information, elaboration of methodology); - project management and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Institute of Botany Czech Academy of Science. Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Bioforsk - the Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research - and the Czech University of Life Sciences. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 19.51 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost, of which at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost are part of the institutional budget provided from the governmental budget.
