The purpose of the Project is to refurbish and modernise facilities of the Secondary School of Fishery and Higher Professional School of Water Management and Ecology in Vodnany to ensure the sustainability of the existing education; with the overall objective of improved education facilities and human resource development in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application dated 11 September 2007 any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1) Project management (including procurement and publicity); 2) Renovation of school building (hydrolaboratory, multimedia room, school entrance hall); 3) Renovation of fish ponds; 4) Construction of experimentation (training) centre; 5) Construction of sports ground; 6) Purchase and installation of equipment. The Project Promoter is Strední rybárská škola a Vyšší odborná škola vodního hospodárství a ekologie, Vodnany, Zátiší 480, (the Secondary School of Fishery and Higher Professional School of Water Management and Ecology). Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with the South Bohemian University in Ceské Budejovice, Research Institute of Fishing and Hydrobiology in Vodnany. The Focal Point shall ensure that the South Bohemia region (Jihoceský kraj) provides at least 15 percent of the total eligible Project costs.
