The purpose of the Fund (Programme) is to develop new recovery programmes and implement already existing ones for endangered species, with the overall objective of stabilising populations of selected endangered species of plants and animals in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application dating 12 September 2007, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Fund (Programme) shall include the following activities and results: - regranting of funds to sub-projects selected by open call; - Fund (Programme) management, evaluation and publicity; - background studies for selected species to be protected, including enhancing knowledge of stakeholders involved in setting up recovery programmes, and strengthening and optimizing methodological, legislative and economic tools used to ensure effective functioning and financing of recovery programmes. The Intermediary is the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. The Focal Point shall ensure that the State budget provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Fund (Programme) cost.
